(no subject)
I'm not sure I have made mention of this, but this year I am the Con Ops officer for AggieCon 38. This job isn't particularly tough until Con, because it is mainly trouble shooting issues that arise in the running of the con. My job is particularly useful for this, as I currently work in the Facilities office, which is where we have to call if we want something changed, set up, fixed, etc. So, I get to learn all the people and put a good face on AggieCon so when we take over the MSC in March, they don't get thoroughly annoyed at us for calling all weekend.
But that isn't why I am posting. I am posting because I thought some of y'all might be interested in what we are doing this year. The guest list is growing each week, and we are hoping to have a bigger, better con than last year. So far, for major guests we have James O'Barr, creator of The Crow, Artist Guest of Honor, Ruth Thompson, Author Jana Oliver and two Voice Actors Tiffany Grant and George Manly. If I had more time, I would link all of these people, but I don't. The guest I thought some of y'all might be interested in though was our musical guest (and no, this is not me recomending them, I haven't heard anything that they do, I just know that a lot of you guys like to listen to new stuff) The Eyeshine Band. http://www.eyeshine.net/The%20Band.html
