Farwell Hamilton St Cafe & Stage.
Hellooo weekend evenings! hehe j/k

its time that a put aside the job that i had for over 4/5 yrs now and move onto The Cosmetology thing. Right now i eat, breathe, school, work, whatver cosmetology. i wake up i go to school, i go home, play with pup, get primped up for work, go to work @ salon.

Hamilton was great. Working as a cafe operator for a while and watching the show gave me the inspiration to put on shows and now i'm booking bands like The Slackers and Kings Of Nuthin', with some help from friends i would not have met there working with or doign sound for.

I've seen so many bands have their first shitty(as in they didnt know how to play) shows, and not go anywhere, and I've seen bands excel and move on. I've seen instances of the 'scene' like old school h/c and have made friend with some fromt he hayday of that come through hamilton, to it having crowds that were disrespectful and it jsut being banned since it was never needed to have security there, to having some secuirty for certain shows there.
I have been highly complimented, asked for my autograph for who did sound that night/recorded, have been tipped, have been highly recommended @ Hamilton St to do and be appriciated for doing Sound. I have also had nights with DRUNKEN tourinig bands, been hazed, sexually harassed, annoyed with, and argued with bands. I HAVE NEVER been told it was bad sound, i have only been concerned with leaving the sound booth for durations of some bands' sets (granted i disliked them, it was hot, allergies, and they plain jsut SUCKED) i think as far as live music I have seen and accomplished somehthing that I hope I can one day return to. I don't know if it would be somehting I could pursue, but after having a lot of nights with constant ringing in my ears once in a whiles, for saefty resons... its kinda good I'm done.
I will miss it, but it's not like i will never be there, I'm sure as hell going to fill in, or if requested, most certainly do sound if need be. I will keep on with my shows as much as i can, and hopefully, grow with that.

i didn't know i was scene until 3 years within working @ hamilton...when I was TOLD so...hahah.
I do have a bunch of stories and little nonsense things that i could tell in good timing. It's also pretty cool to have had this kind of job as a teenager, and to tell my kids someday how involved i was with local music.... THATS the coolest thing to me.

Tonight I am seeing Christopher play with H2O @ Rutgers. Cannot wait, and I hope I get in or else there will be hell to pay. hah.
