~sighing~ Goodbye Eric.

Aug 21, 2007 15:32

Eric, the last cool manager we have at the store. Eric, my best friend and sometimes my shoulder when things go amiss at Arby's (other than Shannon of course). Eric who was as close to me as Joe was...and Joe and I became like brother and sister.

Eric is leaving. He put in his two weeks notice yesterday. Noah told him he eaither started to 'enforce rules' (bassically it was 'Hey Eric go yell at them for nothing.')and obey his own orders or leave. He chose leaving.

Now I don't blame him for leaving but this means that Arby's on Republic Road is going to go down hill fast. I mean come on, we have Noah, who runs the store like it is his own personal playhouse...and Stephiane, who has her head crammed so far up Noah's ass that she knows what he ate for breakfast every day left. And that's all.

And to beat all, Carrie who had only been working there for six months tops got an assistant managers posistion. I'm happy for her, because Carrie prooved to be a very good person despite her own imperfections, but i'm jealous and feel shitted at the same time.

She makes more than me. She makes $8.50 an hour, AS A CREW MEMBER. Thats going to be bumped up a dollar soon. I only made 6.50 and I've been there a year!

So what is going to happen? Eric will leave, Jessica Mummurt is already planning to put in her two weeks notice. A lot of people will quit because they'll become too sick and tired of Noah's verbal abuse to stay.

Stephanie will be bumped to General Manager of the store and Carrie will be bumped to Shift Supervisor.

I will be stuck as a crew member, with no chance at training.

How do I know this?

Well today I asked Noah when he was going to train me like he promised and his reply was that now that he had to train another manager that i'm too low on the ladder to even be considered for training. I questioned him on at least getting more hours or a pay raise and he didn't even consider the question before telling me it was not an option.

So! I'm going to see about going to Wal Mart on South Cambell, Shannon said she worked there once, full time, at a starting pay of eight dollars an hour and the last time I was in there, they were in need of help.

I tried McAllisters, but they only start at $6.50 and according to the manager i'll most likely get less hours there than at Arbys.

My question in all of this is when is a good time to put in a two weeks notice? On a monday so i'll get an acctual two weeks in?

I've grown quite tired of this bullshit and being told that training, a raise or more hours were out of the question pushed me over to the "fuck this place" point.

Also, he dosen't want to sit and listen as to why I need more hours. I need a home...and Jason and I are barely scraping by on what we have on top of the fact that WE NEED A HOME. We've already pretty much cancled wedding plans.

Well that's all..Jason is home now and I need to decuss things with him.
