where i'm at..... why the hell did i take that left turn back there?
this has been such a crappy week. i've been trying to write. to the point that i'm actually working on two chapters at the same time. sounds stupid, doesn't it? but it actually seems to help. sort of.
if not for 15,000 tags that had to be done this week. on top of my other regular work. that, more than anything, has played into my ability to actually make my brain work beyond a sentence or two at a time. because, believe it or not, we got all of those tags done in two days. its left me feeling tired and accomplished all at once. and its also left me unable to actually make my brain work. all it is at the moment is a thick bunch of gray matter taking up space. i hope that food and music will help get me into gear so that i can actually write...... something.
at the moment, i've got two word docs open. one for the next chapter of She Said What? and one for the next chapter of The Harlequin. i know there are people who are eagerly awaiting both and i swear i'm doing my best to get them going. at present, i have about one third of what i'd like to have on each of them. not to worry, though, my faithful readers. i have ideas. its just getting them to move from my brain, down my arms and out my fingers to the appropriate keys on the keyboard. its harder than it sounds. trust me on this.
still. the fact that i've gotten anything done is pretty amazing to me. i just finished up a chapter for Arianrhod's Vessel last week, so i'm actually doing better than usual. some times, it takes more time than i care to admit to get anything down that's coherent and, frankly, good enough to share with other people.
i think, given the proper motivation tonight, i should be able to accomplish something.
the chapter for The Harlequin is being particularly stubborn because this one will include sex and its the first time i've ever written this particular kind of sex. those of you reading will understand what i mean. i want it to be both believable and within the confines of the story. the chapter for She Said What? should see a resolution to what's been going on in the past few chapters. though there likely won't be any sex in this one, there will be some humor. hopefully that will make up for it. i do think that sex will happen in the next chapter of that story. that depends, though, on how i end it.
so, i guess that's all the update i need to give at the moment. just something to let people know what's going on. which is pretty much the entire purpose of having this account.
wish me luck. we'll see if i get anything serious done.....
