Some facts about hell

Minooka is traditionally spelled with 17 1/2 'o's, but its hard to print that on maps and road signs so it was reduced for the sake of ease. It is also traditionally pronounced "Minuuuuka". Like a cow with an accent.

i like cats.

Aux Sable isn't as haunted as everyone in Minuuuuka likes to think it is.

Morris is only marginally cooler then Minuuuuka.

Same goes for Channahon.

And Shorewood.

Your a hick if you shop at the Big R, and if your not and ever happen to be mentioning it in conversation you have to put on a hooky southern accent and say "Let's all go down to teh big RRRRRRRR"

If you drive past Hot Skillet, you have to scream its name ridiculously, putting emphasis on the SK.

Contrary to popular belief, the Favoli's is not just a run down old building. Notice the 'Yes we are open' sign.

The Louis-Joliet mall if full bored people from the highschool and it's highly advised against going there.

Dolinger Farmer is fuckin awesome, I don't care if it's for little kids. They have real hot cider and barn cats.

Unique has the best sweaters on the face of the planet and on Mondays everything is half off marked price.

Unique doesn't have dressing rooms. It's a common practice to try on clothes in the middle of the aisles over your street clothes. No one cares. Incidently though, everything bought there seems to be just a tad to roomy..

You can find Duene's Motel if you drive away from Shorewood, past Minuuuka, down Route 52 for about 35 minutes. It's sleazy and scary as hell at 11:30 at night.

Poetry in Motion is probably the worst band in the existence of anything and are common known as "Puberty on Hold" by critics because of theyre whiney lyrics and angst-ridden songs. They are insanely popular in Minooka. (Tells ya just a little bit about the town now doesn't it..)

Minooka is one street long.

Minooka Community Highschool has the fourth highest drug rate in the state.

The only requirement for admission into Joliet Junior College is a pulse.

Emo is huge here.

The most important part of the average Minooka youth's life is football.

Interestingly enough, the school team loses EVERY YEAR.

You can't get anywhere without a car.

Minooka is surrounded on all sides by cornfields.

The trailer court was built facing a fenced in affluent community. ( I don't know the names)

360 is a Christian Youth Cult masquerading as a club, no matter what the jesus kids tell you. They lure kids in with xbox and snacks and then force you to listen to The Art of Sacrifice, Creed and Shine Down.

The movie theatre inside the mall is 1$ on tuesdays.

Skateland sometimes features concerts on Fridays nights, except they almost always feature Poetry in Motion.

The Prarie Ridge Subdivision is the best place in the world to trick-or-treat.

Lakewood Trails is often called 'Lakehood' by racists pieces of shit. It is a very nice subdivision and not at all ghetto.

Everyone under 19 works at Target and Jewel and it's impossible to go there without seeing someone you know. Jobs anywhere else are highly covetted.

Minooka and the surrounding area is as racist, sexist and homophobic as they come.

Backroads are fantastic.

Theres a slight hill with a rail-road crossing on the top of it on McKindley Road. At high speeds, a car can get some good flying distance.

Mckinley Woods is really, really beautiful.

Do not ever take art at Minooka Community High school.

If you use your ID, you can take the train from Joliet Union to downtown for half price.

The parking garage on Van Burren in Joliet never charges.

There are more Minooka/Channahon/Shorewood area cops then there are civilians. They are cruel, calculating and will bust you for anything if they need to meet a quota. I once got pulled over for walking on the side of the road with my brother.

The second floor of the Minooka Branch Library is haunted.

For some reason, during warm weather everyone clamours around the Creamery.

There are more car accidents in the high school parking lot then on the actual street.

Cookie Dough costs 4.50$ at the Ameriway gas station in Channahon.

Most of the area still doesn't have real working stop-lights.

The pay phone outside of the Shorewood police station is missing the phone.
