This is how I would love to do performances like and again...
After looking at a video post that guita posted on about the new urban belly dance style, and after clicking that video and then lead to a few others I came across these two nifty ones.
I though am into the old and traditional styles myself, but there is something that intrigues me with the new urban style and mixed with modern music or infused.
And since I tend to incorporate that kind of thing in my own dancing, but am looking into taking some various traditional soon. I kinda dig the new style going about.
I think there is room for growth and mixing and improv of styles, and a mixing industrial/trance or trip hop, even some hip hop doesn't go too bad.
But everyone has their standards and preferences, and neither is wrong or to like one or the other, it's kinda like the old school photography purist vs. the new digital and cs type photographer kinda thing, least that's what it reminds me of.
Anyway in my lil search from the video she posted I came across these two videos.

I like that the second video has Ohgr playing through it:)
The first one I like allot too, and damn they are all pretty hot.
I would love to do more stage shows like this again.
