I'm with the Pilots..
Yay I'm finally done with this piece!! (I think? heh) I'm sure I'll find something to fix later or fuss over. It took me weeks, course I kept having to deal with other projects and work or it would of been done sooner.
Yes that girl in the illustration probly does look a bit familar...
It started out originaly and was meant to be just a girl in a steam-punk look, and I was working on a certain design for an outfit, it as it progressed evolved into this. And ended up turning into the lovely Miss Veen from the band Abney Park. What can I say she inspires me ever so muchly. I did use one of her recent shots (from the Charleston Moonwalk set on Flickr) as slight reference idea as the piece evolved from various sketches.
But it wasn't meant to end up being a fan type piece. But I will be sure to show her nonetheless.
I'm pretty happy with it, and I have plans for a few more steam-punk inspired type pieces after the holidays when I have time again.
Other new works will follow soon, I have a folder full of half finished pieces, that I'll be showing soon as I get to really finish work on them.
