Rockabilly and fabulous Queers @ the Artbar
I know two days later I post.. been busy editing and other life thingies.
Had a pretty surprisingly enjoyable time at Artbar Saturday night.
Saw two bands that I have never seen (one straight from ATl, and I swear I've seen the bassist at my old work. I think we know the same Rockabilly crowed that would hang there)
The minute I saw him he seemed familiar. That and I was also slightly armored with him heh.
What can I say greasers with big instruments can get to me (his Bass you pervs:p)
He was pretty crazy on that thing.
Anyway and Satanic Romantic was uber fabulous and fun, and they are super sweet peeps.
Happiness to see miss dj_spider; who I let know that I love her so much that I forced myself out of the house even though I wasn't feeling the best that evening, but she was making a rare appearance, and we missed each other when I was last in Charlotte a couple weekends ago.
Was good to see the petzilla as always as well:)
and all the other few souls who came out:)
Only downfall of sorts for my night was the setting on fire my camera strap.. I somehow in my hurry to get to the dance floor set my purse next to a glass candle thing and the strap apparently was a lil too close to the flame and got a bit melted and burned. It's pretty bad but still slightly intact and useable.
Thank goodness egearman caught it in time mostly.
Which I am thankful.
Anyway enough randomness on to das piccies and video..

I can't wait to get the newer camera soon.
This one is decent but in clubs it's just so hard to elliminate all that grain.. and I hate grain. I also want better lenses. soon enough. But for the majority I think the shots came out allright.
There's a few motion favorite ones in the bunch.
Great and high energy and entertaining performances from both bands that night. And very challenging to shoot.. more so the madman on the bass:P
and both bands all were super nice:)
I'm gonna try and catch both bands more in the future.
