Ok, so, the honeymead is bottled and may yet be drinkable without being lethal by June. Failing that it can lace the punch or boost the gluvien/mulled wine. All good.
Time for something new. Stout. I don't know about this. It is the first time I've tried using a brew kit. This one is a "stout" concentrate from Coopers. The directions have algebra in them, namely OG-FG over 7.46 +0.5 = approximate% ABV. Need I mention that I didn't pass algebra.
The instructions go on: "at this point the wort is vulnerable" Vulnerable? bits of chopped up plant has a mental complex? I look like a therapist? This could be too much like hard work.
However it is all in a good cause! Which cause?
Midwinter Night's Revel Personally I think it is more interesting to find some of the wine recepies on the net and have a go yourself. That's why the party has a homebrew challenge, for all you budding alchemists - I wanna see (and taste) what you can do!
Now, where did I leave my hydrometer?
