Yule Ceremony

We had a very lovely ceremony last night. Oreana came over and we talked a little (mini class if you will) about Wicca, Paganism, etc and our coven. I hope she is becoming a member. At least attending on a regular basis, even if she chooses to study on her own. She's very sweet and we got along quite well. Actually she fits in with our group of friends too. I'd like to invite her to one of our get togethers soon and introduce her to the rest of the group. Hopefully she brings her girlfriend to meet us soon as well. She sounds like a wonderful person. She's a cat lover! LOL!

My kitties loved Oreana. Pandora, my eldest kitty (she's 9)even came over for scritches and she's standoffish as hell normally. Logan, of course, was his usual flirty self. Autumn of course made a show as well. Can't let the other two get all the attention, right?? *grins*

I made turkey and forgot to buy potatoes so I made tri-color pasta instead and just simply tossed some italian dressing on it. Simple and yummy. I also made a veggie medley of broccoli, cauliflower, and baby carrots with low-fat cheese sauce (I love Kroger veggies!). The roasted turkey and veggies was a good dinner me as I'm on weight watchers. I *did* drink an extra glass of wine than I intended to, so I'll have to behave the whole rest of the week. Gallo give me a headache. Expecting a friend, I bought her favorite wine. Cafe Zinfedel. Also, not knowing what Oreana's wine preference was, this was a nice choice. It's flavorful and somewhere inbetween a red (zinfedel) and a blush. It satifies those who prefer white or blush wines and those like me who like heavy, deep, red choices. I'm going to pick up some Bunratty Mead for Imbolc though. *huge grin* Chaucer mead is easier to find and more readily available here but one place I know does carry Bunratty and I like the Irish mead better. It's a little darker gold and the honey has a different flavor. It's a heavier mead but very nice.

Happy Yuletide!
