Can someone please explain to me why junk cars are being sold at such a high price these days? I mean who in thier right mind would pay $1000 for a car that is 13 years old and needs a transmission? Or the $500 someone is asking for an '86 olds with NO engine, and NO trannie... and why someone would sell a 96 accord for 800 when it needs transmission work, exgaust, brakes and tires....what are these people smoking?

Let me clue you in..just because the Kelly Blue book values your 15 year old piece of junk at $1000, does not mean its worth it. THat $1000 is if the car is utterly pristine, under 100,000 miles. I mean, off the line clean, oil changed every3,000 miles, tires changed twice a year, brakes bled monthly, all that crap that NO ONE does.

None of the cars I listed above are worth more than 300-400. People assume that dealers will by them up and re-sell. Not likely. Dealers mostly buy at auctions, not by cruising the classifieds...bah.

Did I mention I need a car and only have about $900 to spend..and I dont need another junker....I know it can be done, im just running out of patiance...

oh yeah, and one last thing... If a car needs a waterpump...IT DOES NOT RUN EXCELLENT!!!! IT OVERHEATS!!!!
