We went to the zoo!

The weather was very nice this past weekend, and so we took the opportunity to go to the zoo.  We actually got a zoo membership, so now we can go back whenever we want to in the next year!  Yay!  Which means that my friends list should be prepared to get spammed occasionally with random zoo stuff, hehe.  ^_^

OMG!  Adorable baby pygmy goats!  I love goats!  And they're just so tiny; the babies weren't any bigger than a small cat.

This mama goat had three babies, and all of them were still inside the barn area of the petting zoo.  There were also two black baby goats running around the petting zoo yard (and an overwhelmed mama goat trying to keep tabs on them both.)  I really wanted to pick them up, but you're not allowed to do that, but I did get to pet them, so that was still cool.

I'm not really a rhino fan, but this is a nice pic, so I'd thought I'd still share it.

It was a very warm day, and most of the animals were napping.  This wolf has a good idea, nap in the sunshine, but close enough to the den so you can just duck back in quickly if you get too warm, hehe.

A bison with an afro?  Why yes!  This is my second favorite picture from yesterday.  I'd never seen a bison with an awesome mane like that before!

And now my favorite picture!  Does it get any cuter than tigers sleeping in the shade?  I love how the one on the right is sleeping on his back with his back feet up in the air!  It's just too cute!  ^_^

So those are just a few of the animals at the Columbus  Zoo!  It's a very large zoo; we walked around for 3 hours and still didn't see everything!  We'll definitely be taking more pictures the next time.  It was very busy on Sunday, and so it was difficult to get nice pics because of all of the people, but we'll be able to go back on a slow day now, and hopefully get a lot more pics!  I'm hoping to get some good pics of the flying foxes and fruit bats the next time; they were just so cute, but they were hanging in places that made it hard to get a good shot.
