"Pretentious" that's hilarious! That's really cool that you have two conventions in your city. I can't wait to go to my first convention. Hopefully I can go to Sugoicon and Ohayocon this year. I better start saving money...and get a job. LOL

I'm glad that I found out about Anime Punch! because it was completely by accident, hehe!

And I really hope that you can go to the conventions later this year too! We are going to try to go to Sugoicon too, but we haven't made any definite plans yet.
And this is just an estimate, but I'd say that each con for both of us has cost between $300-$400 dollars, and that includes hotel, registration, food, and goodies. So for Ohayocon if you're able to split the hotel room cost with one or more people, then I think it should be between $200-$300 including travel. It's not cheap, but it's also not too bad for a weekend away.

Well, the cons are our vacations, and we never really go anywhere else, so it's not that bad for us, but I can see how that would be a lot extra when you're already doing other vacation things.
(We might have to go to Chicago this year for Johan's Dutch passport, but that won't really be a pleasure trip.)
