Summary: It's Harry Potter's birthday, but he's not the one who really gets a gift. The way it all began for Neville and Hannah. Happy Birthday, Jules!!!

Seriously, this is wonderful. There are so many things I adore about this--the flirting and snark between Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione, Neville's shyness and awkwardness with Hannah, his reluctance to even be there in the first place... So in character. My absolute favorite line is "No, I'm Neville bleeding Longbottom." Hee.

I'm so glad you liked it! Neville was ridiculously hard for me to tap and I wanted to get it right because he's so close to your heart.

(Side note: I love that line too! I cackled when I wrote it. Good on you, Longbottom.)

aggiebell90 sent me over here, and I am SO glad she did! This is wonderful; I love how you captured Neville's shyness in contrast to his love for his friends. And you did a great job of using JKR's statement about how Neville and Luna wouldn't work as a couple while at the same time showing just how solid their friendship is.

Short review: YAY! NEVILLE! :D

I adore Neville. He's never been particularly easy for me to write, but I had to give him a shot... And this was the story I saw in my head, post-DH, for him.

Thanks for writing this. I enjoyed reading this. I love Neville/Hannah stories. I liked the line -- "Neville, let me introduce you to the concept of the Floo Network."

Thanks! I'm still not 100% happy with this one, and if I'd had my druthers I probably would have stuffed it in a drawer and come back to it a half a year later to find some hidden gem in it. But oh well. C'est la vie. We're never happy with the final product.
