The Haps around here...
Both Daniel and I are gainfully employed and Krysten is waiting to hear from Kohl's. Daniel is working at a dog boarding place in Loomis, and my old boss made me an offer I couldn't refuse. It will be fun for me to see a bunch of my old clients and old friends. The commute for me won't be too bad, because I will stay at my Mom's when I am working and she only lives 2 miles from the shop.
On the weight front, I have now lost a total of 90 lbs. and down another size. I am going to join Curves with my boss and my Mom and hope between that and swimming at my sister's pool I'll keep losing at this pace. I bought a couple of outfits for work and it sure feels good to have on something that fits.
At the "Home" all hell has broken loose. Both Ken and I have been accused of verbally abusing his roommate, and I have been banned from the facility until the investigation is finished. The odd thing is the agency that is supposed to be doing the investigating won't even say if it is investigating (due to confidentiality issues)and hasn't contacted Ken either. Something is very fishy... They moved Ken to a room with 3 other men on the "crazies" wing and he is suicidal over it. I am going nuts trying to figure out what our rights are in all this crap when no one will tell me anything. Neither of us said anything even remotely like is being alledged. We cannot talk to the man who made the accusation, and the Ombudsman that is over seeing things is not communicating with anyone but the DON at the "home". The state is due for a big inspection and I think that has everything to do with this. If Ken is one of the crazies his input will not be listened to. Many of the employees are really upset about this whole thing and have said they would back us even if it meant their jobs. I don't want to cause trouble for anyone else but it did help a little for them to say it. I have been calling legal aide places with no help so far. I am going to call the two law schools in Sacramento and see if they have a help line. It is all such BS!!!! /end rant
