Hi... I tried to start one of these earlier for the benefit of my Aussie and NZ friends, but it looks as if they were all out at non-virtual parties. Still, I can attend both at once, can't I? I'll just leave one of them drinking quietly while I browse through your music collection....

Welcome! And please feel free to comment with any suggestions or selections, I made a random sample of personal favorites :) You may provide a link to your party also.

Welcome! Hello to you, and passing over some humanely killed insects and seeds for your friend :)

Maybe people here would be interested in learning more about the culture and flora and fauna of New Orleans? Just a thought, if you wanted to write a little blurb. Happy New Year!

There's a gumbo pot drop? Wow, that's creative :) And I didn't know falling bullets were dangerous - wouldn't you have to be standing awfully close to someone to get hit by them shooting straight up into the air? Of course, someone's accuracy might be dependent on their sobriety level, too.

*brought my weather with me*

Thought I'd bring the snow. Since it seems you don't have it. And this is magic Michigan snow, you can enjoy its sparkles wherever you are. Well tomorrow anyway...when I get out with the camera.

Happy New Year everyone!! (from someone who will be off at a local celebration).

Happy New Year, and welcome! Thanks for stopping in, and for the music and the cascading snowflakes :)

Ellis Paul's 'God's Promise': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=et-4WksmFkk

(I prefer 'Blizzard' but can't find it, any Ellis Paul tends to be good though.)

Thanks for the music! And I knew you'd bring Better Days...I was going to post it myself if you didn't ;) Excellent, hopeful song, and I hope 2008 brings even better days ahead for you.

It's the seventh day of Xmas. While I go and look for seven swans a-swimming, here's a rather interesting rendition of the full song.

Thanks! I think they played this on the radio here - I had the classical station on at work on Christmas Eve and they went through the Twelve Days of Christmas (as best as they could.)
