Is that smile stuck with superglue or something?
Sorry for the silence, things are simultaneously busy, non-eventful and earth shattering. Today, like Friday, is a monkey day. Somewhere there is a mini chimp in the works messing everything up.
I should have woken up to a beautiful loaf of fresh bread, but I forgot to put the blade in the breadmaker, so it cooked a pile of flour. Scrummy.
moomintroll and I have been without hot water for 2 weeks. It wasn't too grim, thanks to a wonderful benefactor who took in a feline refugee and let her shower (not all cats self clean by licking!). They finally replaced the boiler yesterday, but after a night of airlock disaster making pipes all over the house bang, this morning revealed that the water still can't stay hot for more than a minute at a time. Must be monkey fur.
The lights still blow 5 times a week (3 times in one day yesterday!) and we're without internet, although it's coming soon. Despite these things, which are really little niggles, I'm incredibly, life fillingly, head dizzyingly happy. It's shameful :-)
