Blood, blood, glorious blood
Went to go see Sweeney Todd with various people today. It was a very Tim Burton-esque musical, with lots of overly red blood.
Thus inspired, I headed off to the blood centre in Newtown afterwards to donate. Apparently I have special blood! It's O-, which means that anyone can receive it (rather useful when you don't have time to test someone's blood to see what type they are before starting a transfusion...), and I've never had the mysterious virus that most people have had without realising it. It hangs around in the blood stream, so the blood of these people then can't be used for premature babies. I have special prem baby blood! Which they are always desperate for.
And it took me under six minutes to donate. I am so screwed if I ever sustain a heavy injury away from medical care.
