Trust CLAMP to throw twists after twists to mess with your head, and just when you think nothing's gonna surprise you anymore, they go off and pull something like
this which shows how much they're laughing at you for even THINKING you've got them all figured out already. :|
I wasn't going to touch Tsubasa ever. The idea of crossover CLAMP worlds is a good crack idea, but things were so boring in the first few chapters that I abandoned it (and I didn't like TRC Sakura and TRC Syaoran anyway.) It took Seishirou to send me downloading all the chapters frantically so I could see the events that lead up to this man and his sakura tree. (Because you can't have Seishirou without Tree-san of course.) Then he sort of appeared on and off, and disappeared entirely, causing Tsubasa's hold to loosen for me. I gladly stepped away and observed the 'WTFs' and 'OMGWUTLOL?s' echoing from the fandom almost every time a new chapter comes out. :D (This latest twist is a real winner though, I'm scarcely following the series and even my brain broke.) At this point, I was thinking that maybe it's a good idea to sever my ties with the series after all.
Apparently, CLAMP must've been anticipating such a reaction, because in the midst of all the brain breaking, in the next chapter, we'll get a
Seishirou/Subaru cover
complete with captions like "They know the time to meet a second time is not far away"
...and CLAMP is evil, EVIL for using that trump card at SUCH A TIME, because then I'll undoubtedly get sucked back like *whoa* and I'll follow this series religiously, and I'll spoil myself silly and wading through chapters after chapters and getting pwned by plot twists that I'm not even *sure* if my brain will still be ALIVE by the time we actually get to Seishirou/Subaru. *headdesks*
I love you CLAMP, but I sometimes curse the fact that you're fangirls yourselves.
