ok, so the last few days have been interesting... my Pathophysiology class is pretty intense. I printed out the notes for Thursday's lecture while i was at work, and for ch. 1 there were 70something slides. Holy mother of Mary... And she also had Ch. 2 in the lecture, which is another 70 slides. I printed both chapters out, and while we were waiting for class to start, i was talking to Melissa and Lawanda, and i was like, how the hell can she cover 140 slides in 2 hours?! and once the lecture started, i knew. she FLIES through the notes. oh man. And this was all basic review from Bio 1, but i hadn't seen this stuff for like 2 years, so it took a little. WOW. Even printing the notes out, i still made extra notes on the paper and barely kept up. Talk about intense. And after an hour, we took a break, and i said to them, ok, now i know how she covers so much. damn. and melissa was like, that's not as bad as i thought. which made me feel stupid. lol. oh well. i'm a little slower i guess. so it looks like i HAVE to print these notes out, since there's no way in HELL i can write that fast... this class will be interesting... I didn't even have time to check my watch, that's how fast it went. Not even time for my to daydream. daydream in this class=suicidal. jeez.
and TCS doesn't look too bad. Except i have to get in front of the class in lab and all... but that's only in front of 20 people or so. i hate doing stuff like that tho. bleh. we'll see. Dr. Hanson teaches that class, and she's cool. in her demonstration of how a HC professional should introduce themself and establish a rapport with a patient, she was a patient newly diagnosed with MS. and she told the "doctor" that it was depressing as hell, which cracked us all up. she's awesome. i need to actually meet with her again soon to see if i should try to do the Public Health thing just as a Masters program, or combine it with my senior year... It all depends on work. whichever gives me the greatest probability of keeping my job. because i cant not work. so many factors here.. ugh.
and Mike IM'ed me the other night... first time we've had a real conversation in months. wouldda been great, except my modem reared its ugly head. It's like it knew i was talking to him. with the modem problems and the sheer honesty of the convo, it was like when we first started talking. lol. good times.
last night, Eddie took me to a party at The Swamp... that was freakin awesome. We met his buddy Michael there... and holy crap was he hot. but he said he was talkin to a girl in MIA so i didn't hit on him... once the alcohol hit him, he was hitting on me though... lol. i met lots of law students, since it was for a law school kid's bday... and Eddie introduced me and mike to this guy named jackson, and Mike and i didn't realize it, but this is how the intro went: "Janet, Jackson. Michael? Jackson." so once Edd-o pointed that out, i was like, michael! my brother! you molest little kids! lmao. and i apparently yelled that on accident, so we got some funny looks. lmao.
we chilled at the swamp for a few hours, and mike's friend hooked the 3 of us up, but the bill still came to $60. so mike payed it all, and i tried to slip him a $20, and he kept giving it back by sticking it down my pants (and simultaneously grabbing my ass)... my fault, the jeans are really loose for some reason... i need a better belt i guess. lol. but he kept doing stuff like that.. and i was like, hmmm. and Eddie wanted to go to XS, a club down the street, to meet up with a girl he likes, so we tried to talk mike into going there... he;d told me he didn't want to b/c he didnt wanna fall into temptation and since he was talkin with that girl, he shouldn't mess around, especially since she was driving up to see him today... so i let it go, but eddie pushed it, and mike went with us. Eddie paid our cover charge, and we went it. and it was 80s night, so that got me allll psyched. lol. the first song we heard? COME ON, EILEEN! lmao. twas great. so, once i got a little tipsy and singing 80s songs, i started drinkin beer, and somehow, in my infinite drunken wisdom, i figured since it was too loud to hear, i sent drunken text messages to the other Mike and to Beth. while dancing with a beer in my hand. don't ask me how. lol.
so, eddie's friend mike (getting confused yet? lol. too many mikes!) was hittin on me, and while all of us (5 of us, soon to be 2 more) were dancing in the PACKED club, mike went off to say hi to a friend. and then started grinding with her. and then making out with her. and i was like, damn. that should be me! lol. and Eddie asked where he went, adn i was like, he's making out with that girl. and eddie wasn't happy, and told us not to judge all guys based on that. and then i told him not to judge me based on the alcohol. lol. but point taken. i was a little jealous, but now that i think about it, at least today MY integrity is still intact. and Eddie. i am PROUD of that boy! he never drinks, but i got him to have TWO consecutive alcoholic drinks!!!! which was a first for him! and then he felt sick and had to dance it off, which is why we went to XS. but he felt better after dancing. and we kept losing our pals, so it was me and him dancing, but just like Abe and I danced at prom... not on each other, just with each other, respectfully and just having fun. very platonically. i had a blast. I love my E-dawg! lol. and quote of the night: Janet- "I feel like we're living in an Adam Sandler movie!!!" (and since Eddie looks like Adam Sandler and it was 80s night, this quote was especially true. lmao)
ok, im bored and want to be anywhere but gainesville right now! lol.
later loves.
