i left my sissy on her bday--(sniff sniff)
Yeh--today is my sissy’s Bday....and I had to leave Monterey to go back home....which is where I am now....I ended up taking a taxi for the airport since Dougie needed the car...no worries...taxi dude was way cool....I got there early again so thank the GODS there was a bar with many stools to choose from! Bloody Mary please....(thank god for cute bartenders too...woot woot!!)...I mused over a magazine, enjoying my morning brew (hey it WAS 11am..that IS cocktail SOMEWHERE IN THE WORLD..)...it’s the only way Im getting on that tiny puddle jumper alone.....so after my 2nd one I was ready to board....went thru security lickity split I tell you...not one issue!!....got my seat and within minutes we were flying!...soaring back to Long Beach Airport....hardly a bump.!...my lovely gal pal PAMELA was there quick enuf to get me back to her place and my truck...piled my crap in and off I went back to Whittier....did i mention how good it felt to get back into MY CAR?....big & roomy.....(I forget how spoiled I am with my big car...no offense sissy but your little car is just a tad bit cramped....)....I got to the kids school early enuf to even take a bit of a cat-nap....I soo missed my kiddos!!...and soone enuf we’ll be having dinner w/my grama & the kiddos.....DID I mention StPattys? yeh,..we went to this Pub called "Shanes"..nice enuf inside but they didnt have any "BlackThorn Cider" Ugh.....no fish & chips.....so I had a "HARP" a "Banger sandwich" with chips (not fries) but potato chips....Ugh again....BUT....the company was the best....we had loads of fun the 3 of us and our waitress was a hoot!....I do look forward to my next visit to the Olde Ship w/Mensi to get my fish & chips and PINK SAUCE fix soon enough...?!
all in all...my trip was awesome.....I had fun shopping all over Cannery Row, eating shrimp on the warf, going to the Aquarium, seeing all the gorgeous sites along the 17 mile drive.....I will load pix later on.....
