Oh, I haven't posted for one hot minute.
I went to upstate NY, aka nowhere. I think I would explode if I didn't have a getaway from the city - especially one with a pool:
I saw Radiohead twice in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. I wanted to hear Optimistic and No Surprises. They played both.
I got an unexpected promotion and a raise at work.
I saw Batman FINALLY at the IMAX theatre in NY - a month after it premiered..and it was still sold-out.
I'm upgrading my wardrobe based on Mad Men, which I love oh so much!
I recently (re)watched There Will Be Blood, No Country for Old Men, Ratatouille and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. I don't know which of these to most recommend, so please just see all. What an incredible year 2007 was for film. Thanks, Netflix legal settlement!
Now I'm home in Indy for a week. It's the worst timing ever, as three of my friends from Indianapolis are, separately, in NYC this weekend. Ugh! And my mom is in Philadelphia because of some bad travel/timing planning. BUT I'm here for my high school reunion. I didn't quite lose those 10 pounds for it, but I also didn't age in the last 10 years, so I guess I'm on neutral territory. My date is a middle/high school BFF. Most people can't believe I'm going, but I think they are mostly bitter haters.
My flight out of NY yesterday was INCREDIBLE. The skies were, for once, clear over the entire Northeast US. I saw Laguardia, JFK and Newark airports, all of Brooklyn and Queens, the beaches of Long Island AND the Jersey Shore, Shea Stadium AND Yankee Stadium, most of the Bronx, all of Manhattan - even my own apartment building. I could have gotten some amazing photos, but my camera was packed away. I bet I'll never see that view again.
