Whenever I'm a homeowner or solo apartment dweller, I'm totally going to be one of those people that goes balls-out for Halloween. Remember ten years ago when Halloween was for the 10 and under set only? NO MORE! I love looking at all the Halloween paraphanelia at Target/Tarzhey.
I'm trying to watch as many scary/thriller/horror movies as possible in the next few days. I'm not reallly doing so well as I've only seen Rope (Hitchcock), The Man Who Knew Too Much (also Hitchcock) and Children of the Corn. I'd like you to know that Isaac, the little boy preacher from Children of the Corn is actually a litte MAN preacher with that "i don't grow up" disease. AND he was Cousin Itt in the movies!!
I've never seen any Nightmare on Elm Street or Friday the 13th movies. Or Evil Dead, Carrie, The Omen, Child's Play, Leprauchan, **** of the Dead, etc. :(
My costume didn't come together in time for my friend's party in Brooklyn, BUT we are having a Halloween party at work with a costume contest. I'm dressing up as a character from the tv show I'm watching right now, which shall remain a surprise until photographic evidence is posted.
When I was young, we got to dress up on Halloween at school. My mom is a teacher in the same public school system. Soon, they weren't allowed to dress up. Then they weren't allowed to have "Halloween" parties, but "fall festivals" instead. Now they've banned fall festival and aren't allowed to reference Halloween at all. I don't know if it's fear of lawsuits or fear of No Child Left Behind (which is a huge deal that maybe we should discuss sometime). All I know is LAMESVILLE USA.
