I've started reading again! Huzzah!
Apparently I'm rotating the light and heavy, which seems like a good strategy to keep me going.
I finished the ultra-heavy
Looming Tower about al-Qaeda, then
The Lovely Bones -- an interesting murder story, but a little too Oprah-esquely sentimental for me. Apparently Peter Jackson didn't think so.. he's making it into a movie.
Now I'm back to the heavy with
Against All Enemies, more terrorism stuff. I chose it because he's the only government official who has ever apologized for what happened on 9/11.
Other purchases from Half Price Books(swoon):
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - both in honor of my favorite high school English teacher
The Wisdon of CrowdsThe Rise of the Creative Class Next I'm going to look into
Khaled Hosseini and
Bob Woodward.
At some point, I may be your modern day terrorism-expert friend.
