I feel like I did real things today rather than wasting hours being bored. Hello, the last month and a half of my life. It's a satisfying feeling, not doing that for once.
My grandparents offered a few weeks ago to buy me a bed frame, since I've had nothing but my mattress on the floor since we moved in almost two years ago now and that's just... not comfortable. They came and got me this morning to take me to Ikea, where I picked out a nice cheap one. My grandma ended up insisting on getting me a dresser too. She hates that I leave my clothes (sorta) folded all over the floor, so... hey, if she's willing, right? Anyway, I'm going to tell them to just let that be my birthday present because really, so utterly nice!
My grandpa and I had a grand old time assembling the bed frame together, cause he's awesome and hilarious, and then they had to go see my cousin's softball game so I assembled the dresser myself in about two hours. I was proud.
During the dresser assembly, a woman from Kroger called me about the application I put in there, and I have an interview tomorrow. Good stuff. I really, really want and need a job. Also, I might get to babysit this weekend.
The new furniture forced me to clean my room all up, so now I have a floor and a room that looks like someone lives in it and a comfortable place to sleep and I am quite pleased.
