Lotsa news to report...
1. I turn 30 in less than two weeks. I might just need yo through a huge party thanks to the addition of item number 2. Only dilemma is figuring out where to through I party that can fold all the people I want to invite (Talk about a slip- I just typed avoid instead of invite).
2. As of my November scans, I have been cancer-free for just over 4 years now!
3. Today my port was removed! Yay! Only complaints: Anesthesiologist decided I didn't know what I was talking about when I told him that common anesthesia and narcotics cause me to vomit uncontrollably. No vomiting yet (thank goodness), but I've been nauseated since I awoke at 3pm post surgery. So they gave me some weird patch to place behind my ear to help, but it's only sort if helping. Also, I have to stay at my parents at least for tonight. Amusing moments: One of my surgeons told me that I looked as though I'd lost weight as I wore a hospital gown. And the nurse taking my history made me laugh when we discussed potential emotional problems. She was surprised I didn't have any and said she would. And... my chest looks like a mummy.
4. (Parenthesis are my new favorite things.)
5. Work. Aaaargh!!! (Don't even ask.)
6. No severe pain from surgery yet. Awesome! 'Cause I really don't want to take the (narcotic) pain meds that they prescribed if at all possible. Vomiting is not fun.
7. After my next 6 month scan, I go to once yearly scans... Scary!
8. Where are all the good movies this holiday season? The only thing looking even vaguely good is The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. And it better not be depressing! Lots of great movies coming out next year, but what is a Jew supposed to watch on Christmas day? How do I movie hop, if there are no good movies?
Alright. That's it for now. My typing skills are somewhat lacking tonight.
