It's been over two weeks since I last posted. Oops. That was completely unintentional. My life has felt rather hectic lately, what with the Jewish Holidays, chemo, my surgery, my trip to Chicago and assorted other wackiness. As I suffer from post-chemo chemosomnia, I guess I'll try to bring ya'll up-to-date.
Since I last posted I have:
-been propositioned by a seventeen year old
-helped
balooley celebrate her 27th birthday and met several new people all on LJ
-seen the remake of Amityville Horror (not so good, except for the myriad shots of the main actor's
torso)
-cut back my television viewing quite a bit (shows that i no longer watch unless under duress or suffering from extreme boredom: Alias, Law & Order: SVU, The O.C., Medium, Desperate Housewives, Supernatural, Invasion)
-been handed a possible new business opportunity that I'm seriously contemplating
-tried to talk my favorite bartender into concocting a pumpkin martini like the one I had in Chicago. hopefully he'll have one for me this thursday
-won a game of pool by sheer luck
-visited Capriole Goat Farm for their fall open house, where I ate barbecued goat (I bought lots of cheese and they had a wheel of montgomery cheddar! hmmmm! montgomery cheddar is one of my favorite cheeses that I've only ever been found at Zingerman's in Ann Arbor)
-been called "Mrs." by a physician's assistant at my oncologist's office (boy, was I pissed!)
-gotten a massage and a makeover
-purchased eye makeup, which is a rarity because I have no skillz when it comes to eye makeup
-considered being a 1920's prostitute for the Halloween party I'm attending this weekend
-worked at the store, where I was entrusted with a key!
-realized that I have lost all of my crossword puzzle skill
-been invited to a reception for the top fund-raisers for Louisville's Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night Walk (I also raised my collected total from $1454 to $1554!!!)
I think that this covers all of the bases for now. I'll try to update more consistently, but I've said that before. And I'm experiencing the creepy/highly annoying electrical problem that my apartment suffered back in June once again. I guess I'll have to call maintenance in the morning but my apartment is such a shithole that I'm almost embarrassed to have maintenance come by! Talk about motivation to clean! Hard to do right now though because I have no electricity in my kitchen, bedroom or hallway. And I have a lunch meeting I need to be at at noon. Damn it!
