howdy from the windy city
well, i wasn't gonna update until i got back home, but antonia requested it and ellen commanded it. and since i'm staying at her place and she's providing the computer, i thought that i'd better hop to. and it's always nice to make two people happy at once.
chicago is rather cold, which is to be expected i suppose. we've done some shopping, but not too much. i did buy my dream pair of boots from the Fluevog store near ellen's place. i also bought a very cute little white and black sweater that was 60% off at a store called Akira and some awesome silver earrings at a little accessory shop that would make gemma froth at the mouth called Shebang. yesterday we went to navy pier and saw the 3D IMAX Aliens of the Deep, which was very good but we thought should have shown more sea life. then, like the crazy cats we are, we decided to go on the ferris wheel because there was no line. there was no line because it was only twenty degrees or so outside. like i said, crazy cats. but it was worth it because it was a beautiful day and the view was spectacular. interspersed amongst all of this has been lots of yummy food, including pumpkin pancakes with a vanilla rum cream sauce. hmm hmm good. i wish i could stay an extra day or two.
my sore throat/cold/mystery illness is mostly gone. still a tiny bit snotty though. i'm wondering if i should reschedule my monday morning pulmonary functions test until my head feels clear. must contemplate further.
tuesday my orange couch arrives! very excited.
