so last night, while being tortured by my insomnia, i started to have vague chestpain on the right side of my chest. i looked at it, and poked at it, and realized that it was at the exact site of my port. (for anyone unfamiliar with what this is, it is a small implant under my skin that is connected directly to a vein, for easy vein access) pain

You need a robot. I know for a fact that robots beat ninjas. Because I have these ninja toys from a gumball machine, and a plastic robot that someone gave me. The two ninjas and the robot face off on top of my microwave. The robot always remains standing, while the ninjas mysteriously fall over.

Well, I used to think it was mysterious, until I realised that the ninjas were falling over when I was opening and closing the microwave door. But still! The robot stands! And who is to say that the robot isn't defeating the ninjas, just at the exact moment I open my microwave door?

So robots are the answer.

But seriously, I'm sorry you're having to go through all this. It doesn't sound like loads of fun. Just be diligent, if it does bother you, do go see the doc asap.

I'm thinking about you... sending positivity your way. Positivity travels at unimaginable speeds, so it should reach you right about.... now!

You're right! I forgot that martial artists and robots were natural enemies as evidenced in the Flaming Lips song Yoshimi... Hmm... Maybe i'll go by Kopilot and see if they have a little robot i can set on the windowsill above my bed.

hey jess, i agree with nicole. it wouldn't hurt to call the practice of the doctor that placed the port, either. i'm sure they'll be less puzzled. when things are upsetting me that much, i ususally pester doctors until they have some sort of educated guess, or actual knowledge.

if it's still bothering me on monday, i'll call them. i'm pretending/praying that's it's just weird internal bruising and will go away soon. it still hurts today but the pain is not as constant.
