Sorry to go so long without an update. My Rosh Hashana was very busy, what with my older sister coming to town and other holiday/family wackiness. Having Ellen around for a weekend was great though. I need to go to Chicago and visit her soon, cause I don't see nearly enough of her. She did manage to eat ALL of the food I had. (And for once I had a fully stocked fridge. Well, fully stocked for me, anyways.) Which was more funny than anything else, but now I have to go grocery shopping. And many of you know how lazy I am when it comes to that. Ack.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Lite the Night Walk. This year, there were more than double the number of walkers than last year. Over 2500 walked, and together raised over $250,000. I personally raised $253, and my team as a whole raised $1185. Next year, I'm proposing we set ourselves a much larger goal.
See the doctor on Wednesday to discuss my scans and everything. Excited. Really hoping chemo can be every other week. I think I could handle a class schedule of some sort if it was...
Gemmafast 2004 last night was fun. Being an insomniac, I went out with the boys afterward for a drink. It was hi-freaking-larious. THE strangest group of people EVER.
Today I got my elliptical put together FINALLY! Yay! I can now exercise in the comforts of my own home again. Also this morning, while I was sorting the mail on my front porch, enjoying the gorgeous weather, my maintenance man walked by and asked me how my shower was. I told him it still sucked and that I'd had to clean out the showerhead three times during my last shower. And that I was also having trouble with my kitchen sink. He was distressed. So 20 minutes later he came back to report that I would be getting a new water heater that afternoon! And they installed it while I was at lunch with Katy. So I now have an elliptical and a new water heater (aka working shower)! And right now the cable guy is hear, connecting my cable so that I can watch the season premiere of Smallville in all its unfuzzy glory. So all in all it has been a great day.
Want to see Wimbledon and Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Wanna come?
Okay. Who put up the link to the scary yarmulke bikini? Amy? Nicole? I know it was one of you...
Enough blabbering for now. Later 'peeps.
