I'm home!
I came home from hospital Monday afternoon - for those that didn't know - uh, I was in hospital for ten days!
I was taken to hospital by ambulance on friday the 18th and they found out I had gallstones - which led to me getting my gallbladder out on Saturday afternoon. I was starting to recover quite well then on Wednesday I went for a walk around the ward with the physiotherapist and then no more than 20 minutes later I was in agony with chest pains and luckily one of my doctors popped his head in to see how I was doing and he immediately ordered an ECG for me - thinking I was having a heart attack. Then they made the discovery that I had a blood clot in my right calf and part of it had broken off and travelled to my lungs, then the clot in my lungs, part of THAT broke off and went through my heart - leaving me with horrid pain and the symptoms of a heart attack.. They called the 'MET' team - Medical Emergency Team - and I went from having my doctor and two nurses around my bed to having about 20 people all standing around my bed talking in all worried tones and using all these big and fancy words - so I ended up with a panic attack as well.. not fun.
Anyway - I'm home now and on very limited movement - i'm only allowed 'functional walking' which is like, from the bed to the bathroom to the kitchen, etc. and I'm staying in my parents house for awhile until I get settled with my new medication and stuff so I snuck out here to my little house to see my kitties and check my email, but I'm starting to ache so I'm going to head off soon and go lay down.
Catch you all later,
Bella.
