Good Times
Tonight I spent the entire evening after work sitting around the table talking to a large mixed group (faculty, students, and few favorite staff members) about a little bit of everything. The meal is an appreciation dinner for the students, faculty, and guest speakers of our Freshman Orientation class. One of my favorite alumni also joined us, so it was a very good evening. This particular gathering, while it falls in the holiday times, is an end of term benchmark, and actually something I've come to look forward to since my involvement began with this class.
Way too wiped tonight from the hazards of driving on a sheet of ice (I think I spent 2.5 hours in the car today; normally I spend 40 minutes in the car. Even the additional time to get to the restaurant would have only put me at an hour 20 on dry, normal roads) everytime I got in the car today. Time to sleeps.
