i'm preparing myself mentally for the doctor. i know that i'll be getting yelled at. multiple reasons, really. anyone wanna guess? blood pressure, weight, not doing my shoulder exercises. and just for the record, i'm having a really stressful morning and my blood pressure is up already. great! yah, it's gonna be fun.
*edit*
he didn't yell. i was thrilled.
so, other than that "number" i'm in perfect health. literally. all my blood work came back in perfect form. my cholesterol, both good and bad, it the exact places he wanted them. my liver and kidney functions were perfect, my blood sugar was good. my thyroid is completely under control. even my blood pressure is good (with the medication to keep it under control). other than that "number". so, the plan is this:
he gave me alli, and asked me to come back in 4 months. we're going to monitor. i mean, 6 months of weight watchers, and a total of 20 pounds, with the last 3 months being a complete stand-still. in 4 months, we'll take a look, and go from there. he actually mentioned surgery. he said it would be 6 months before we can submit it to the HMO, and it would probably be a year before they would approve it. he said he has to document the effort. the hope is that we can get some true loss before that has to happen.
i really just want to not be uncomfortable all the time. i hurt constantly. he said that my joint and muscle aches and pains are more than likely due to stress. he respected my wishes about not going on meds for the stress and depression. allowing me to work things out on my own, using prayer and relaxation.
