Pissed....

My job strikes again.  WTF?  I can't believe they would even have the nerve to call me today (thursday) and tell me that I have a mandatory class all day on monday.  Yeah, whatever.  Screw you.

Dear Hospital & manager that I work for,

Newsflash! My life does not revolve around this organization. Yes, I understand that things are a bit crazy w/ the new hospital opening up. And yes, I understand that there are classes that we must attend and things that we must do before the state allows you to open. BUT you've known all of this for over a year. So why oh why, did you wait last minute to do everything?

It is soooo not okay for you to call me today (thursday) and tell me that I have an all day class I must attend on monday. And when I call you on giving me such short notice, it is sooo not okay for your only answer to me to be "We'll it's mandatory." Um, nooooo, it's not. Now, I wouldn't be so pissed if this was just one of those things that happened every once in a great while. Instead, you've been pulling this crap for the last month and a half. It's professional courtesy to give people 30 days notice when you change their schedule. So why do you keep calling people, 1 or 3 or 5 days prior to a class and telling them that they must attend.? And why, when peopel complain about the short notice, do you keep telling them that everything is mandatory and insinuating that our jobs will be in jeopardy if we don't comply? I'm so pissed that you told me (with only 2 weeks notice BTW), that I had mandatory classes for a full week, monday thru friday. I had to scramble and beg to find someone to watch my daughter for a full week. My DH had to take a day off work and my amazing mom took the other 4 days off work. Only to be told, the day before classes were susposed to start, that we would only have class 2 days that week. WTF?

And as for you, manager that I work for. You're full of $hit. When we got hired for this position, yes, we were told that there would be no vacation requests granted for a certain period of time. BUT, that does not translate to us totally clearing our schedule and just sitting around until you decide to schedule us for classes. I'm actually kinda pissed that you though I was stupid enough to buy that lame a$$ excuse. Let me remind you....I'm per diem which mean that I'm only required to work 6 shift in a 3 month period. So technically, I've gone over and beyond what I'm required to work per my job description.

I have news for you. Our union rep came to pay us a visit last week and according to them, you're all so full of $hit. We can't get fired for not being able to attend a class when you only give us 3 days notice. So boo boo to you! I'm sick of this and I'm not doing it anymore.

Sincerely,

Your pissed off and disgruntled employee
