(no subject)
I have had a day of getting things accomplished. After last night, the weather turned out to be beautiful! And what a difference 8 hours of sleep makes (not counting the hour I woke up and heard the sirens so went to the basement). Mom, even being the worrier that she is, slept through it (gasp!). I am cleaning out the basement, a.k.a. everything I still own from my childhood, little-by-litte. It's interesting seeing what I can find. Like I found 3 watercolor prints I got in Paris. I bought frames and put them up in the kitchen. (Normally this would go on my to-do list and get done in an average of a couple of weeks . . . ). I took Dad to breakfast this morning at Klingler's. Their breakfast is just as good, if not better, than their lunch. I treated him because he helped me put up the puppy fence, do yardwork, and the latest thing of doing taxes. Although the yardwork was hard and took way too long in my opinion, he says now I won't get 'voted off the island' (meaning the street). The other neighbors besides McKenzie and Georgina, are old folks with people to do their yards, so there! It may have taken me a while longer to get it done, but now the yard looks pretty as a picture :).
