Shift Work

I love my job. I really do. In spite of the drama that is occuring, the job is still an awesome job. I love taking care of the guests and meeting people from all over the world. The German couple who brought me the candy are still there. They are here visiting their son that is in college at uafs. The dad came down and asked me for some mustard. He said he had cooked his son's favorite meal. I had just taken some cookies out of the oven (we bake them often for the guests) and gave him a plate of them. He told me I was "a very good hotel mom" hehehe...

Anyway, as much as I enjoy it, the shift flopping is a bitch. I have never had to think this much about sleep and when to sleep and what if I can't sleep at the right time. Tonight, it is 230 am and I am feeling sleepy. And tomorrow night is when I do audit for the next 2 nights. But the past several nights I couldn't go to sleep no matter what until at least 4am usually later. By the time I do the 2 days of night audit, I will be wide awake at night on my nights off, and when I get back onto 3-11. It is crazy.
