My boyfriend and I live in the valley, so it was about a 9 hour drive for us and we really did go for Placebo, about a month ago we were going to suck it up and go see them in mexico, but we would have gotten lost, so when they announced they were going to dallas we basically said fuck it we can suck it up and make the drive. It really wasn't too horrible because I'm from houston, so I'm quite often making the 6 hour drive.

But for me, like I had said in the comment at your journal Say Anything playing before Placebo was just amazing to me...now don't get me wrong there are quite a few things that bother me...like their new song, their album has been out for a very long time...something like 4 years, so just recently, within a year or so they released the song that is making them big (wow, i can get sexual too) and just tacked it onto their old album and re-released it, that doesn't make sense. So now that this new song is so easily mainstream and obviously being played on the radio it is attracting all the dumb fuck kids who apparently can't form any opinion for themselves and must adhear to what the radio and mtv says are cool. So there you have it...popularity among the impresionalable youngins = awful live shows. I wouldn't clasify say anything as emo though, i don't think you would have any interest to do so but by the off chance you do just listen to the song "Admit It!" and you'll know what i'm talking about :-)

hah..now i'm rambling, but all in all it was an amazing show, and the beauty of the side stage is that we weren't forced to sit through the trendy as fuck bands so I am very pleased with how it all turned out.
