a good laugh...

So I recieved this email today from an ex-coworker from Snell & Wilmer (the law firm that just "ended my assignment" aka fired me for being "too young")....

"Natalie,

I hope all is going well with you. How are the plans for your wedding going? Have you decided it would be easier to elope as opposed to having the whole big wedding with all the bells and whistles? How is the job hunt going, have you found anything or are you still looking?

Listen to this, that receptionist that was suppose to start the Monday after you were given your walking papers never showed up. Apparently she took another job. We have had quite a few temp receptionists come on through, all middle-aged women. There’s been one that has been there for over a week now, she was the one who stayed around while the firm had to go to the state of the union luncheon.

Although it’s a little odd with the fact that Jim Mace wanted an older receptionist. While he probably wanted an “older” receptionist, he moved his own personal secretary. You know Maria used to be his secretary and I think you were around to know that Katie was a temp and is now his secretary, who just happens to be younger than Maria. Maria, as it turns out, will be leaving this week. I don’t really know why, but there is a gathering at Bahama Breeze on Thursday to see them off (Wende Phillips is leaving as well). I may go to find out some info, but I have a feeling that Michelle will show up. Odd that she is rarely at work for a whole week. Michelle’s lucky to have Cindy V. working for her, if not she would actually have to work in the office. Amazing how that works.

Anyway, I should let you go. Good luck with the wedding plans. The whole planning process may get stressful at the closer it gets to next September (hell it’s already the end of October) but as it gets stressful, think about the end result. It makes all that planning worth it. Take good care of yourself."

Looks like karma is a bitch. I would LOVE it if they called me to work for them again. I would say "$25 per hour? Did I hear that correctly." Then if they said "no" I'd laugh and say "Blow me, I'm too young" and then I'd hang up. Haha. One could only wish. Well I dont care anymore. I have 2 job interviews coming up. One Tuesday @ Bellagio. Executive Administrative Assistant. Sounds important right. I swear its short for "Human Resources Secretary". But it pays well. ::Shrugs::

I had a blast on Saturday night. We all went out for Freshta's Pre-21st Birthday dinner. We went to "Daimon's" in HB. Nice place too. I had 1 Asahi beer (why does Japanese beer come in such large bottles again), 2 sake shots (hot), 1 kamikaze shot (Thanks Beckie!) and a couple of swigs from Freshta's JD & Dr. Pepper & Lexi's Rum & Coke. I was pretty buzzed. I didnt get "drunk". I was shocked I could hold that much liquor still. It's been so long since I last drank alot. And we all know what happened that time...Noah picked me up drunk & vomiting. Haha Good times though, I swear. I'm coming back to LB this upcoming weekend (again, I know). This time for Freshta's actual 21st birthday. She wants to go to a bar or two. Maybe I'll act as the designated driver. I just want everyone to have a safe & fun time. I wish Noah could come though. I like when he's with me and he drinks too. He's hilarious. But he has to work. ::Sigh:: But he's taking me pumpkin picking on Thursday. That makes me a VERY happy camper.

Well I need some rest. It's been a long weekend. It's nice to be back home. I'll be around the rest of the week though. Maybe you'll hear from me again. Oh and I'll definitely post the pics from Saturday night. Alright Good Night <3
