What a weekend
So this weekend was well how do you say interesting. Friday Mike and I just hung out at the house because he had to get ready for his Bachelor Party weekend in Wisconsin. Saturday morning he took off and headed to meet the guys at Brian's house. I was running errands on Saturday morning, getting some last minute items for the Bachelorette party that night. I finally got everything packed up and ready to go, and got a phone call from my friend Jodi who lives in Sheboygan WI. I haven't talked to her in forever. She is pregnant and due in March!! with their second child. I am very excited for them - Seems like everyone I know is pregnant, there are like 5 people at work, my old boss from staywell, my friend Juli and my friend Jodi - what's going on.
I got to the hotel after sitting in a massive traffic jam on 494 because 94 is closed - who knows if it's going ot be opened soon since it rained all weekend and whatever...Got to the hotel and I couldn't get in the freaking room!! I finally got some cash and got in the room. Sara helped me set up - Thanks girl! Everyone ended up being late to the Bachelorette party because of the stupid ass traffic and rain and stuff. But we finally got everyone their stuff, and headed out to the lightrail. Only to find that it was raining and hard as we were running - most of us with flip flops and t-shirts (Because we were heading to the bar later). Freezing our assess off we sat at the light until it changed and we could get into the parking ramp at MOA. We finally got everybody on the train and headed down to the light rail around 6:00. We got to the game around 6:40 or so and we were lucky it hadn't started.
The party was great and after the game we headed to the Lone Tree - had a kick ass time there. Left there around 12 and then headed back to the hotel. We stayed up for a little while opened the prizes and then we went to bed. Aurora, Melissa and I were up early this morning talking - around 7ish and then we all left the hotel around 11:30. I was just about leaving the parking lot when I got a call from miss aurora who said that she had a flat tire - thus started the fun of our day. All the guys are in Holcombe Wisconsin and Aurora and I were trying to get the spare out from under her car...but couldn't get the lug nut to budge. Anne, Melissa and Stevie came back (they got lost trying to get together with Weston) and tried to help us too. I went into the hotel and asked if there was anyone who could help us, and this guy who was checking out said that he works at a dealership in Fargo and couldn't help us out - I was like THANK GOD!! So this nice guy came out to help us and he got the spare down, the truck up on the jack and then the tired off and the spare back on and then off the jack, only to find out the spare tire was flat too. Dumb ass luck. Then he left to finish up his vacation and Aurora and I drove around to find a gas station, but couldn't find one. So we headed back to the truck to take off the spare to fill it. Got the truck up on the jack got all the lug nuts off on the spare and then couldn't get the freakin ass spare off the damn truck! It was just our luck. So that is were we left it. Aurora is having brian look at it. However I grabbed her tire to bring it back to her place and forgot it in my trunk, so I am going to drop that off on my way up to Mike's parents house.
Brings me to my next subject. Mike and the guys were supposed to be leaving around 10 or 12 this morning from Lee's resort. Brian, Melissa's Dad and Dave headed back to the cities when Aurora called them to help her with her tire. Apparently my husband, Gus and Donny didn't also head back at this time - like I think they all should have. Apparently Lee (our friend who owns the resort) took them out for a boat ride. I got a call from Mike at 3:00 today saying they were still on the DAMN lake and they are at some bar. so they aren't going to be back in time for Mike to come to dinner. I am pissed off that people think they can hold people and think of only themselves. Other people have plans and people don't take that into consideration! How fucking selfish are they. I am so freakin pissed right now. All I want is for my husband to be home so that we can do what we planned to do! and that can't happen because of some selfish people that the only thing they want to do is drink. Okay so let's think about this - lets fucking drink our lives away. Alcohol is dumb and stupid it makes people act stupid and not themselves, why do people ever want do this...one entire day of drinking isn't enough?? Come on.
