So I guess it's a good thing I have no retirement or other savings or investments--I don't have to worry about losing them in Econosplosion '08!

Although I'm kind of thinking about trying to convince UW to pay us all in euros instead of dollars.

My company sent me advertising for getting stocks from them. I would hate to have stocks, unless I had a cheap broker to do it for me. I wonder whether companies that give them to you automatically allow you to sell them or something. (We'll see if blitzcon weighs in.)

I do have a very small amount of life insurance now, though.

The part you mention in the second hyphen was hypothetical. As I've never had a real job or a confidant, I obviously have no way of knowing of such things, so I just assumed based on what I vaguely remembered having heard. Thanks for the info, anyway.
