Dear Yulegoat!

Thank you times ten million in advance for agreeing to write something to suit my obscure whims. I'm generally fairly easy to please, but in general you should know that I prefer the serious to the comedic and nothing makes me happier than old fashioned romance. The sappier and more melodramatic the better, as embarrassing as that may be.

Fandom: Freedom and Necessity

Characters: James Cobham, Susan Voight

Details: I love pretty much everything about this pairing, but I particularly like either early in their romantic relationship when they're still slightly awkward and bemused by each other or after the timeline of the novel. I've always been curious what their life together after the novel is like.

I love the integration of philosophy into the story, and more than anything I love Susan. I love that she's seen statues, I love that she's not afraid to take matters into her hands even if it's not always the best idea, and I love that James loves that too. Cameos by Kitty and Richard welcome but certainly not required.

Fandom: Takarazuka Revue RPF

Characters: Aran Kei, Toono Asuka

Details: Touko and Asuka are my ultimate combi. Much as I would love a good romance, I love them as friends too, so there is flexibility on that. Particularly I love the idea of them being sort of part way through their time as top stars and realizing that they've found themselves falling in love.

These two are the definition of golden combi for me. They are the perfect storm of two people who I love individually who are so earth shatteringly fabulous when you get them together that I can hardly believe it. I love how dedicated they both are, I love how seriously Touko took her role as leader of Hoshigumi, and more than anything I love the obvious care and respect they have for each other. Of course I also love that they're just gorgeous to look at together. If you go the romance route (which I would obv. love), feel free to take that to whatever degree you feel comfortable. XD

Fandom: The Scarlet Pimpernel

Characters: Marguerite St. Just, Sir Percy Blakeney

Details: This story has a remarkably special place in my heart. It was my first real fandom, and from the very beginning I have been a huge, hopeless, ridiculous fan of the romance between Marguerite and Percy. I'm remarkably easy to please with these two, but the more sweetly romantic (and potentially sexy) the happier I'll be.

If it helps, I'm perfectly happy with either novel or musical canon, pick and choose or mix and match as you wish!

I love Percy's dedication to his cause and his strength of character, but I've always thought that his quickness to believe the worst of Marguerite was an interesting failing of his normal devotion to those he loves. I love Marguerite's strength and fire and determination. The one thing that I've never seen really addressed is what effect the lack of trust early in their relationship can potentially have on their marriage down the line. If you feel like exploring that, fabulous. Just please, PLEASE, it needs to end happily and have at least a bit of sweetly romantic schmoop to it. I know that's a tall order, so by all means, stick to a more straight forward romance if it suits you better. Also smut is more than fine with these two.

Also I have seen and loved just about every version of this story conceivable, so any details you like from one or the other that you want to include is fine. My favorite Percys are Douglas Sills in the Broadway production and Aran Kei in the Takarazuka Revue Hoshigumi production. My favorite Marguerites are Christine Andreas and Rachel York in the Broadway production and Toono Asuka in the Takarazuka Revue Hoshigumi production.
