Why don't I have hired help, again?
*pointedly ignores pile of chores that need doing, deciding instead that LJ is far more important*
My paid account expired! Angst! Woe! Assorted exclamations of agony! *ahem* Yes, I'm fine, sorry about that.
Survived work yesterday despite the fact that, because of some apparent /systemic/ issues with scheduling and communication, our regional VP did not in fact come in because they allegedly ran long looking at a potential new location and there was no point coming in after that, because our GM would not be there because he had to get to a meeting. *shakes head* And you know, this pseudo-training manager position I have had foisted upon me is not something I am particularly pleased with. If they were going to give me a job title that had any meaning outside of our weirdly tweaked little organisational structure, it would be an awful lot more appealing for me to stay late and basically get to be the bad guy all the time, but since they are not paying me to do so, I wish there was some diplomatic way for me to tell them to pound sand. Unfortunately, I have the sinking feeling that this is just something I'm going to have to put up with until my official promotion and official raise go into effect. Le sigh.
The upside of all of this though is that fannore and I watched our copy of the ti_project Seal of Roses last night. Oh dear me, I am somewhat desperately in love with this show and I am also SO GLAD that I saw the full show with /subtitles/. Suddenly Saeko and Rika's comments that even they didn't quite know what was going on in parts of the show make so much sense. Honestly though, that show is just the most perfect kind of crack. Yuuhi with glasses (<3!!!), Kiriyan having a spinny dance-off with Rika, Saeko being evil, Saeko being a naughty!monk (what is it what that girl?), the adorable babies in the last sequence, Sararan generally, and more specifically in the Louis XIV sequence, also Micchan dear lord I am dead of cute. Sadly, our viewing experience was frequently interrupted with wails of "why did you RETIRE?!?" whenever Rui or Sararan did anything particularly wonderful. *pines* Need the shinko approx. yesterday.
And on that note, I need to go call and reschedule my interview since there is no way in the deepest depths of Abadon that I am attempting to go anywhere in heels with my ankle the way it is today.
