Nov 26, 2010 09:59

Title: Daffodil Time
Author: ladyblahblah
Fandom: Star Trek Reboot . . . ish
Pairing: Spock/Kirk
Rating: PG
Warning: Jim's recurring nightmare.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.  The title is from a William Carlos William poem.  I can't even take full credit for the idea, and all of the adorable can be traced directly to momo_girlie and her painfully cute drawings.  *fangirl flail*

What a fascinating development! At first I thought Spock was dreaming of Jim on Tarsus... Freaked out, worried and at the same time oddly hopeful Sarek is a sight to behold. :D

For all that he gave me more trouble than anything else in this part, I'm rather fond of Sarek here myself. ^_^ He is just so not good with emotions.

I'm glad you liked this! Thanks for reading. ^_^

Hee! I'm glad you enjoyed this! I didn't manage to keep the angst entirely out of this part, but I did try to put in enough sugar-coated fluff to make up for it. ^_~

I-CHAYA LIVES! \O/ (...In our hearts.)

Spock has a James and an I-Chaya; dreaming is THE BEST EVER! \o/

the 'monsters' who Jim thinks want to eat him (ugh ugh ugh and I'm going to hope that's a child trying to understand why so many people are being killed during a famine and not what actually happened)

Actually, I'm not sure. Bad Things happened on Tarsus IV, obviously, and I have a whole headcanon for what happened to Jim there, but cannibalism actually hadn't occurred to me until I'd actually written that line out. I prefer to think that it's just Jim's interpretation of what was happening, and how some people were staying well-fed while others were disappearing, but . . . *shrugs* Maybe on some Tarsus somewhere, that is what happened. *shudders*

I'm so glad you enjoyed this! ^_^ And I'm delighted that you made an association with War Games, which wasn't intended on my part but that's one of MY FAVORITE MOVIES EVER so I am nevertheless filled with squee!

Yay! I'm glad to see this lovely fic updated. For a moment I too feared that Kirk was on Tarsus. I hope the healers don't insist the link between Spock and Kirk be broken. At some point I have feeling it will save one or both of their lives.

Do keep 'em coming!

I have Plans for their link, bb. Oh, yes I do. Big Important Plans. *delights in plotty plotness of plotting*
