Genre Drabbles, Round 7

Mar 15, 2010 03:32

xlcatloveress wanted TOS Kirk/Spock, and I have done my best.  I, um, may have cheated a little on Humor, but it's still the TOS pairing so I think it should count.  Yes. -_-

(And yes, C, you were right about the Americano.  *looks at clock*  Damn it.)

Always have been, always will be . . . )

fic post, star trek, spock/kirk, genre meme, slash

Well done, bb! XD You go ahead and think long and hard just like Kirk likes it.

Back again. XD

Holy good god, woman, these were fucking amazing. Angst ripped my heart out, and Hurt/Comfort put it back, but I loved all of them. Srsly.

Um, so, have you done any Torchwood drabbles yet? I don't remember reading any, but I may have missed a set or two.

D'awwww, thanks! *blushes*

I felt a little bad about Angst, actually. It's meaner than I usually go, even for that genre (Which I don't do all that often, at least not straight. So to speak.). Unfortunately, it happens to be part of my own personal canon for this pairing. HOWEVER, I can say the same thing about Humor, so I think it all balances out. ^_^

I haven't done Torchwood yet, as it turns out! [Please fill in Captain Jack joke of choice here.] I have a guess, based on your icon (UNF), but would you prefer general drabbles or Jack/Ianto specific?

Oh shit. I've just realized I'm going to have to do a Torchwood Angst drabble. *whimpers*

D'awww, thanks! *blushes* You should see me as I'm trying to write them, though. These were several hours of teeth-grinding and whining to my friends and searching for genre tropes because I was completely blanking on ideas. XD I wouldn't have finished them at all, except I'd had a grande Americano with an extra shot of espresso and sleep was so far from the agenda that it was ridiculous.

Well, whatever you did, it worked beautifully. And I'm still envious of you that you can do such great drabbles.

*blushes* Thanks so much. ^_^ And I do always seem to do them late at night . . . maybe there's some sort of after-midnight mojo. XD

My favourites here were probably Angst and Humour. Owwww to the first, but it's exactly what I think probably happened. God, poor Spock. (Of course, it ALL GETS FIXED when Kirk Prime shows up in the nu!verse shortly after the movie ends through a convenient plot device and there is a LOVERS' REUNION that gives the nu boys IDEAS. The end.)

Yeah, Angst was a bit of my own personal canon for them. :( You know, I had no problems with Generations before I started actively shipping these two. Now I understand it for the bucket of evil that it is. T_T

I approve of your plot device. I tend to ascribe to the "Jim's katra lives in Spock's head because they're bonded" theory, but I would not be averse to actual physical-form reunion tiems. I'm quite fond of the stories that have Jim somehow being rescued from the Nexus and brought into the nu!Trek 'verse. Can you imagine the schmoop when he and Spock saw each other again? CAN YOU? I can. -_-

Yaaaay, muppet flail! 'Tis the best kind of flail. ^_^

See, in mah mind this is what happens: Jim dies, and there is much heartbreak and Vulcan-style angst for Spock (see Angst). Then, a short time later, Spock realizes that something else is in his head. What is it? Why, it's Jim's katra, which has joined with Spock's due to their bonding, and possibly some sort of Vulcan juju. Since Vulcans value the connection of minds above even the connection of bodies, this is Just Fine with Spock. And then when he gets sucked into an alternate dimension, and meets nu!Kirk, he's all, "Ohai there sexay young version of mah bondmate." Katra!Kirk is jealous for a minute, and then immediately starts thinking about mind-melds and kinky telepathic three-way sex.

That angst thing should really more appropriately be titled "will break your hard into tiny little pieces and then stomp them into the floor"!
