Baking!
Tonight I made cookies with my dad! We took a mini excursion to Jewel to buy buttermilk, then came home and made delicious cocoa drop cookies. They taste like brownies!
I ate too many...and now my stomach sorta hurts, but this is a hurt I can live with. :D
This is a strange turn for my dad, all this baking with these super rich ingredients, like butter and sugar and shortening. Especially for someone who basically lives off of seeds and cereal. Perhaps all the Food Network I watch is rubbing off on him. Sunday he made a yummy bread pudding with *bourbon.* OMG drunk pudding.
I like this optimistic cheery version so close to the holidays. I may be slightly down, but at least there are cookies.
