Slice 2 onions and saute over medium heat with a little olive oil until soft and slightly browned. Add 1 cup of beer and about a tablespoon of caraway seeds. Take off heat.
Meanwhile, prep your kraut. Rusty isn't a huge fan so I soak and then rinse it but if yo like it sour, use strait out of the jar. Oh yeah, I used 1 2 lb jar of kraut. I would have used refridgerated if they had it.
Put the kraut into a glass baking dish and add the onion mixture. Lay your kilbasa or other sausage on top and add quartered red potatoes and one apple cut into chunks. Cover and bake at 350 for about an hour.
