half-way and a bit more

We had our half-way ultra sound today and we're having a boy! (Despite the fact I was sure I was having a girl)

Everything looks great! He's measuring right in the middle for absolutely everything. As of today, we were at 21 weeks and he measured at 20 weeks, 6 days so that's right on.

This time, the placenta is right in the back which explains why I've been feeling so much more kicking this early on. Not just flutters but big kicks going back almost 2 weeks now. Usually the placenta kinda buffers the kicking but I'm getting the full brunt. That should be fun later. =)

A rash on my belly turns out to be poison ivy or some other allergic reaction so no cause for worry there.

And that's about if there. So far pretty uneventful. If it wasn't for my history with Lily, I'd be having the most boring pregnancy in the world about now.

Knowing what we're having (and they said there's no question, he let them get a good view!) it's time to start shopping! I have a crib set picked out (I think) and a bedding set picked out. We're going for a Dr. Suess theme so that should be fun. I like that both of the kid's rooms are inspired by some of my favorite books.
