Earth Day musings and diapering PSA
There are a lot of people on my friend's list with little ones or expecting little ones and I wanted to bring reusable diapers to your attention. NOT the bulky cloth diapers with pins and covers that pop in your head but reusable diapers that work just like disposables except that you throw them in the wash instead of the trash.
This is what we use http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_info.php?cPath=98&products_id=1811 and 15 diapers is enough to wash every other day. They may seem expensive but some quick math for diapering for 2 years makes the cloth cost about a quarter what disposable diapers cost. Basically, one day I looked at how many diapers I threw away each week and it made me very sad. I feel a little better about it now. If you want more information ask, I'm happy to talk about it!
