So yesterday was Minitrial 2. It was a definite improvement on MT 1, but at least for me, that wasn't hard. The only way to go from MT1 was up. But I feel good about what everybody did this time around, we all worked hard and did a good job. I distilled the major criticisms I keep getting into three major areas to work on, that I have written up on the whiteboard in my apartment. I think I might start haunting some 3rd floor offices to get ideas on how to work on these areas... some of them are just a matter of not having enough practice, hence the practice part of Practice Court, but others are more functions of me not feeling like I know how to accomplish my goals. And for that, I will go to the experts.
It's pouring rain again today, and I would be out running around in it again, but 1) my sweatershirt still isn't dry from last time, and, more importantly, 2) I'm supposed to have dinner tonight, meaning I can't look like a drowned rat. But it looks like we'll have a wet spring, so I'm not too worried about missing my chance.
Now, another installment of my spring break pictures, this time covering
Natural History Museum, Smithsonian Castle, Air and Space Museum, and National Art Museum. Yes, I did that all in one day. yes, I was tired at the end.
I've been feeling blah on and off for several days. Tired with no energy at all, ever. I suspect that all the beautiful blooming things are inflicting me with not so beautiful allergies, and so the Energy Leeches have attached. Only allergy sufferers know the misery that the Energy Leeches can inflict; feeling lethargic and miserable constantly, with absolutely no ability to fix it. And the exhaustion, 24/7, no matter what you do...all you want to do is lie on the nearest flat surface and sleep, preferably until things stop blooming. That is not an option, unfortunately, so I drag myself from activity to activity, but my focus is elsewhere. And of course, the ironic thing is, the only way to combat allergy-related symptoms is to use antihistamines - which make you sleepy! There's no way out.
I saw
Howl's Moving Castle while I was in DC with
stardustshine, and now I want to see it again. I also want to
read the book again, because I liked them both immensely, for different reasons. I have no time for either, of course, but I might keep my eyes open for them in the future. A trip to Hastings just might...might... be in my future...
