(no subject)
I've been meaning to write again and haven't gotten around to it. I think it's because I have a few long posts floating around in my head about Hillary Clinton's comments on abortion and Katie Couric's special on teens and sex. They are coming soon. So here are a few quick notes until I have some more time to sit and write.
So I woke up on Friday with severe pain in my left forearm and wrist. After going to the chiropractor, I learned that it's actually from some compressed nerves in my neck, with the pain radiating into my shoulder and arm. It's the weirdest thing. So by tomorrow I will have been to the chiropractor 4 times in 6 days, and my arm is only slightly better. And it actually does make typing somewhat uncomfortable, inhibiting my updating efforts.
I went to NYC to see Michelle and Rachel on Saturday, which was fun. It was great to catch up, but my favorite part of the day was tea at the cutest little place called Alice's Tea Cup. It has an Alice in Wonderland theme and the most amazing teas and desserts. I had a tea called Symphony, black tea with strawberry and chocolate favorite - it was wonderful! I can't believe that this fall it will have been 10 years since we all met. Or perhaps I can believe it - on the train on the way home, I was sitting next to a whole group of teenagers who I thought for sure were in high school but then realized they went to Princeton. I hope they were freshmen because they looked SO young, and I really did feel at least 10 years older than they are.
The job at the PP state office starts Thursday - I'm looking forward to it.
